Requirements for obtaining a jetski driver's license
Since May 1, 2022, a personal watercraft driver's license is required in Sweden to legally operate a personal watercraft on Swedish waters. Without a valid driver's license, you risk fines and other penalties. Here we go through everything you need to know to get your driver's license and drive a personal watercraft legally.
To get a personal watercraft driver's license, you must meet certain requirements:
- You must be 15 years old.
- You must undergo approved training from a training provider authorized by the Swedish Transport Agency.
After completing and passing the training, you will be registered directly as approved by us at Redrental. This means you can go out on the water freely and legally while waiting for your physical driver's license.
How long does it take to get a jetski license?
After you complete the training and submit your application, it usually takes a few weeks before you receive your physical driver's license.
